The road from the end of Back Street towards Wilne was known as Wilne Lane. Before the M1 and reservoir were built it only led to Wilne. Since then, although there’s a turn off to Wilne Road, the main road leads to Draycott, joining the old Derby (Draycott) Road at Sawley Grange.
